Amadou Diagne is a Singer, guitarist and highly skilled percussion musician From Dakar Senegal. Born into a Griot family of Sabaar drummers and praise singers he has been surrounded by the traditional Griot music and folk lore of west Africa from birth. This beginning was further enhanced by a full time position as a member of the Senegal national band for seven years, before moving to England to live with his family. Amadou writes and sings most of his songs in his first language Wolof, though in this track he begins the song in Pulaar the language of the fula. The song Senegal is based on a traditional fula melody but given new words by Amadou, he sings of the 'Taranga' the warmth and hospitality of the people of Senegal and the strong sense of community.

Amadou plays guitar, and sings all vocals on this track.
