Bob has been passionate about guitars since age 13 and has travelled all over the world learning the repertoire and technique of blues, jazz, Gypsy swing, calypso, sega, ska, Hawaiian, Japanese, African, Caribbean and Indian music, to name a few. His long-life study of music migration and his ability to speak in over thirty languages makes him a committed and respectful transmitter of world music repertoire. In addition, Bob’s mastery of slide, fingerstyle and percussive guitar charms his audiences, who are often surprised that the unusual sounds he makes are not produced by electronic effects. 

Bob is a very prolific artist that features in no less than nine World Music Network’s albums, including the tremendous Lumière where he plays all the instruments on one-man orchestra style or the critically acclaimed Jin Jin/Firefly recorded with Okinawan maestro Takashi Hirayasu, both published by Riverboat Records. He is continuously touring around the world and will be this autumn across France and Belgium. See below to note down the dates and venues!
