World Music Network has joined the 1% for the Planet initiative, part of our latest effort to address the impact of operations on our globe. The scheme will see us commit 1% of our annual turnover in support of various non-profit organisations dedicated to the sustainability of life and the environment. One such organisation that we have elected to support is the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).

The largest wildlife conservation in Europe, the RSPB has sought to identify the problems facing birds, wildlife and the environment, and devising practical solutions with which to tackle them. Hundreds of their nature reserves across the UK provide a balanced and protected habitat for wildlife and biodiversity to thrive, preserving this natural wealth for generations to come. They are also key players in the international conservation effort through their involvement in BirdLife International, a collaborative partnership between organisations around the world that charge themselves with the duty of conservation of biodiversity and the world’s bird population. This is all driven by their belief that people have the responsibility to protect wildlife
